Hello

A couple of years ago I joined a Scottish Historical Reenactment guild with my best friends . We traveled to a number of Celtic Fairs and Scottish Games in Northern CA. At these events I became exposed to many different styles of Celtic music. The range of styles varied from traditional folk songs and even bagpipes to very funky fusion creations. Being an aficionado of many different kinds of music I really enjoyed the bands and groups that played at each of these events.

This last spring I had back surgery which meant a long leave of absence from work, so to keep myself occupied I decided to learn the Irish Penny Whistle. What a wonderful instrument. It's very easy to play and easy to take with you were ever you go. Not long after that I heard the sound of the Irish Flute and fell in love. So now I'm learning both instruments and have decided to chronicle my musical journy. I want to encourage everyone that has a dream to go for it. I'm 52 and learning to play this awesome instrument. Stay tuned I'm sure it will be a wild ride.
